Admission Process
All entering students to the school are subject to placement tests to measure verbal and non-verbal
abilities and to maintain consistent academic standards. Students will be tested in English and
Mathematics.

Applications for admission are accepted year round, but it is recommended that you apply early.

The application procedures involve 3 steps:

Step 1: Fill out the Application Form and return with the required documents ( 2 passport size
pictures, HK ID or passport and visa, proof of address, and a self stamped and addressed
envelope), and application fee. An application fee of HK$600 is to be paid with the submission of
application form for all classes of the school. Cheques should be crossed and made payable to
Sear Rogers International School. This fee is non-refundable.

Step 2: School will call to schedule placement tests and an interview. The test will take
approximately 1 1/2 hour on a weekday. Upon completing the test, an interview will be scheduled
to take place with the heads of the school. At least one parent/gaurdian must accompany the
student during the interview.

Step 3: Receive a letter from the school within 1 month from the date of interview. Qualifying for
Admission: Two important factors are given consideration in qualifying applicants - academics
and character. Academically, previous grades, transcripts, standardized test scores and scores of
the written placement tests are taken into account. Considerations are given to applicants' language
proficiency in English and Chinese, academic achievements, siblings of currently enrolled students,
and affiliated school. If there is no opening, successful applicants will be placed on our waiting list
and we will call you when an opening occurs.
